Learning Profile
Your profile shows your strengths, what’s holding you back, and your first 3 steps.
Step 1 · Understand
A Learning Profile Made for You
It starts with how you learn. A short set of questions builds a profile written to you, by name, the moment you send your answers.
- 8 areas research links to results: confidence, study techniques, planning and checking, getting it done, study set-up, tests and nerves, bouncing back, and asking for help.
- Each area says what your answers show, why it matters and exactly what to do.
- Regular check-ins keep it up to date and show what’s changed.
Step 2 · Aim
Goals, Broken Into Steps
Big goals feel possible when they’re a set of small steps. Families set the goals; tutors see them and help shape them.
- Each goal says how you’ll know you’ve got there, and why it matters.
- Choose when by: in 4 weeks, in 10 weeks, by the end of the year, or a date.
- Steps ticked off as you go, with the next one always marked.
- Every lesson records the goals it worked on.
Step 3 · Learn
Lessons That Know the Student
Your tutor comes to every lesson knowing your profile, your goals and your upcoming tests. Afterwards, everything you need is in the portal.
- A summary of what you covered, after every lesson.
- A homework sheet in one clear format: questions with room to write, and three study tips.
- Homework is due before your next lesson, and lands in your planner automatically.
- Ready to print on A4, or to work through on screen.
Step 4 · Plan
A Study Planner Students Actually Use
One place for school and everything else, with every OneTutor activity already in it.
- Today, Week and Month views, with lessons, homework and goal steps added for you.
- Add a test and get a revision plan: three sessions on different days, each with a proven technique.
- A focus timer of 10, 15, 25 or 45 minutes that counts as study time.
- Add it all to Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar.
Step 5 · Grow
Progress You Can See
Small wins add up. The portal shows every one, so students can see how far they’ve come.
- A weekly study streak. Any week with study ticked off counts, and one quiet week is forgiven.
- Wins, newest first: goals achieved, steps done, skill levels up and test results.
- Your tutor rates your skill level in each lesson, out of 10 and compared with your year level, charted over time.
Step 6 · Review
Progress Reports, Clear and Consistent
Every month, your tutor brings it all together in a progress report.
- The numbers: lessons, latest skill level, average rating and homework completed, plus goals, streak and focused study.
- A short summary, strengths, areas to develop and next steps.
- How to help at home, for parents.
- Every report is kept in your portal, ready to print or save as a PDF.
